The Friends Gratefully Acknowledge an $8,790.00 Grant from Mission Hill/Fenway Neighborhood Trust, Inc.

The Friends received full funding for our grant request to cover the annual expenditures related to professional tree care for the 2015 season. The funding will be used to keep all the trees, shrubs and vines happy, healthy, and disease free.

This year marks the 11th year of Ramler Park, and our trees, shrubs and vines are maturing gloriously. Our park is growing in stature and those mature trees and plants have also increased in value, as replacement costs for mature trees are high. It is critical to our success to maintain regular care to ensure that everything is properly pruned, and in good health.

We are very pleased to announce this grant award to all our Friends, and thank the Mission Hill/Fenway Neighborhood Trust for their continued support. The ties between us continue to grow, and our neighborhood is all the better for it. Thank You!!!

We’re using our snow day to plan events for 2015!

So far we’ve got two CONCERT DATES RESERVED:

• JULY 15, 2015 – Swinging in the Fens, jointly sponsored by Berklee College, City of Boston ParkArts, and Fenway Civic Association. Enjoy an evening of jazz with Berklee’s top faculty performers.
• AUGUST 4, 2015 – Summer Sunset Series brings back our beloved performers Maria Jane Loizou and Gabe Alfieri showcasing vocals from around the globe and around your town.

We’re also working on budgets, and encourage you to donate generously, so we can continue our mission to support the City of Boston in maintenance and improvements to the park, as well as programming free concerts and cultural events.

We’re turning 10!

Ramler Park is celebrating it’s 10th year since opening in August, 2004.

Please attend our fundraising party Tuesday, August 5th to celebrate our 10th year and announce The Ramler Park fund. Hosted by Samuels & Associates at the Landmark Center atrium.
